Batch of apples and pears from Poland destroyed at dump near Penza
Penza, 26 June 2017. PenzaNews. A batch of apples and pears from Poland was destroyed mechanically at a dump for domestic solid waste near the village Chemodanovka of the Penza region.

"The fact of illegal trade in quarantinable products – five boxes of apples weighing more than 43 kg and two boxes of pears weighing about 26 kg – was registered during an unscheduled inspection conducted in the territory of the market ‘Opttorg’ in Penza on Wednesday, June 21," the public relations officer of the Rosselkhoznadzor department in Mordovia and the Penza region Larisa Yakushkina told PenzaNews.
She explained that the owners failed to provide the documents that would prove the legality of the fruit import to the country and their legal availability in its territory as well as phytosanitary security of the products.
"Administrative cases were opened against the persons involved in realization of the products" the interlocutor added.
