Poll: More than a half of Penza residents do not feel protected against criminal encroachments

Penza, 26 June 2017. PenzaNews. Over a half of Penza region citizens do not feel protected against criminal encroachments upon their lives, health, and property. Such are the results of the poll conducted on the PenzaNews website on June 12-25, 2017. 338 Internet users, including 307 – from Penza and the Penza region, took part in it.

Answering to the relevant question, over 27% of the respondents chose the option "Absolutely unprotected". About 23% of the respondents voted for the option "Quite unprotected".

Over 45% of the respondents feel protected. The option "Quite protected" was selected by about 25% of the poll participants. Over 20% of the respondents reported that they felt absolutely protected against criminal encroachments.

4% of the online poll participants remained undecided.

According to the results of another poll conducted on the PenzaNews website during the period May 29 - June 11, 2017, about 40% of its participants reported that the police works unsatisfactory or very unsatisfactory.

Another online poll conducted on May 15-28, 2017, showed that over a half of the respondents do not trust police officers.

According to information of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2016, 53 police officers were fired on negative motives, in 2017 – 16 police officers were dismissed.

Most cases of dismissal occurred in the Penza MIA department: last year 13 police officers had to leave the department, this year – 5 ones.
