Works on soil reinforcement are planned to be carried out in the lower pedestrian zone of the Sura embankment in Penza, where at present workers are dismantling reinforced-concrete slabs. This was reported by the head of the Penza Capital Repairs Department Igor Umnov to the mayor Victor Kuvaytsev, who inspected the progress of the embankment capital repairs on Sunday, July 2.

"It is planned to install a polyester grid in order to reinforce the soil for further making a concrete surface, which will later be laid with granite," he explained.

In turn, Victor Kuvaytsev urged not to deviate from the schedule but to pay due attention to the quality.

"Durability and reliability of mounting is what you have to remember when carrying out such works. It is important to have a high-quality result," the mayor stressed.

The head of the Penza administration drew attention to the fact that even during the reconstruction, there are many people at the embankment.

"The place is truly unique for Penza and we must do everything so that our embankment becomes a real heritage," the mayor's office press service quoted Victor Kuvaytsev.
