Penza, 13 July 2017. PenzaNews. Only a team working smoothly and professionally can accomplish its tasks. This opinion was expressed by the mayor of Penza Victor Kuvaytsev and it refers to the current problems of the municipality and the measures taken by the authorities to cope with them.

“I am sure that only by working in a single cohesive team where everyone is aware of their function and role we will be able to achieve a positive result,” he said speaking to the public in the mayor’s office on Thursday, July 13.

The head of the city administration explained that the main areas of city hall’s activities are road construction, housing, preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, celebrating of the 100th anniversary of the local football, the 355th anniversary of Penza, and its further improvement.

“One of the most serious issues is the current state of engineering communications. Currently, the thermal networks are 50-80% worn, and to prevent critical situations we need to take urgent measures to increase the volume of capital repairs,” Victor Kuvaytsev added.

According to him, another problem is interaction with a number of managing organizations, in particular, those that provide winter clearing equipment.

The Penza mayor also drew attention to the completion of the emergency housing resettlement program.

“As of the current date, we know that 91 apartment buildings are considered emergency. We have resettled 600 houses. […] The houses I am speaking about are not included in the program because they were found to be emergency after January 1, 2012. We together with the entity are now developing the program,” he noted.

According to Victor Kuvaytsev, to address issues and fulfill plans much work needs to be done including the development of non-standard solutions.
