Penza, 19 July 2017. PenzaNews. Having lost half a million rubles because of lawsuits over photographs in almost one year, the member of the social council in the Ministry of Internal Affairs department in the Penza region Alexander Tuzov, who earlier unsuccessfully attempted to create problems with security officials for the PenzaNews founder, complained to the eleventh Arbitration Court of Appeal not wanting to pay another compensation to VolgaInterMedia company.

The former FSB worker, who is also the owner and the editor-in-chief of one of the network medias, where the photographs were illegally posted, was not satisfied with the decision of the Arbitration Court of the Penza region of 16 June 2017.

According to the decision, the entrepreneur Alexander Tuzov is obliged to pay the right holder 50 thousand rubles and 6000 thousand rubles of duty to the state revenue.

In his 4-page complaint, the appellant requests the Samara court to annual the Penza arbitration decision since he does not agree with it.

In particular, the complainant Alexander Tuzov comes up with an argument that he already paid compensation for several dozens of photographs.

What this has to do with the new case is not clarified.

In doing so, Alexander Tuzov admits that “the rights violations were possible because of failure to abide by […] rules for using photos taken from the Internet.”

As stated in the definition of the eleventh Arbitration Court of Appeal, the complaint will be considered without calling the parties. The plaintiff must provide a defence to the complaint before August 10.
