Almost 70 drivers who do not yield to pedestrians punished in Penza region

Penza, 29 July 2017. PenzaNews. During an operative-preventive action carried out by traffic police officers on the roads of the Penza region on Friday, July 29, 67 drivers who did not yield to pedestrians were held accountable.

"The State Traffic Police once again reminds all road users about the need to be careful at pedestrian crossings: drivers mustn't forget about the necessity to reduce the speed and pedestrians must make sure that they are allowed to cross," the propaganda department of the traffic police of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation commented.
The department reminded that a failure to provide advantage to pedestrians leads to administrative liability in the form of penalty equal to 1,500 rubles.
