On Monday, August 7, it became known that last week the arbitration court of the Penza region passed judgment on the suit of the LLC "VolgaInterMedia" against Alexander Tuzov, a founder of an Internet mass medium.

On the website of his portal, the defendant posted a photo that depicted him, even though he did not obtain rightholder's permission.

In addition, rules of free use of photographs were blatantly violated.

In particular, there was no link or reference to the source in an Alexander Tuzov's article, where the image was used as an illustration.

Moreover, the photograph was modernized: it had no PenzaNews's brand logo, which is the agency's trademark.

The management of the LLC "VolgaInterMedia" considers these facts to be another vivid example of ongoing stealing of intellectual property.

By the court's decision, Alexander Tuzov was obliged to pay about 35,000 roubles altogether.
