Penza, 8 August 2017. PenzaNews. Almost 8,000 residents of the Penza region are disqualified to travel abroad in connection with an existing debt. This was reported by the head of regional department of the Federal Bailiff Service of the Russian Federation Evgeny Pazechko.

"To be more exact, 7,998 people," he said at a press conference on the department's work in the first half of 2017 that was held on Tuesday, August 8.

The head of the institution specified that starting October 1, the amount of debt that disqualifies to leave the country will increase from 10,000 to 30,000 roubles.

According to Evgeny Pazechko, the threshold will not be changed for alimony debtors, for those who fail to compensate harm to health and harm caused by death of a breadwinner, as well as for residents who do not pay compensation for moral and material damage.

"Bailiffs also pass resolutions on limitation in a special right. [...] It is a separate figure and at the moment it equals approximately to 2,900 people who live in the region and can be arrested by court's decision at any moment if they are detained by traffic police officers," the chief bailiff of the region noted.
