Over 170 kilograms of poor-quality bread withdrawn from trade in Penza region

Penza, 11 August 2017. PenzaNews. Over 170 kg of poor-quality bakery and confectionery products were withdrawn from trade in the Penza region in the first half of the 2017 year. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor).

According to the department, 612 samples of bakery products underwent sanitary and chemical analysis, 187 samples – microbiological analysis.
"Discrepancy in microbiological indicators was registered in two cases, in physico-chemical indicators – in seven cases.
Unsatisfactory samples upon sanitary-chemical indications including salts of heavy metals and mycotoxins were not registered.
Presence of genetically modified organisms in the samples of bakery products was not registered either.
