Penza, 15 August 2017. PenzaNews. Products with a total weight of almost 850 kg that were sold in Penza and Saratov markets illegally were destroyed. This was reported by the press service of the Saratov customs office on Tuesday, August 15.

The department specified that last week 200 kg of apples and 649 kg of tomatoes became the focus of inspectors' interest.

"The owners failed to submit any shipping and permission documentation to the representatives of the control bodies. The packaging had markings of the country of origin – 'Poland' and 'Turkey'," the press service explained.

The Saratov customs office added that the products had been confiscated in accordance with decree of the President of Russia No. 391 as of July 29, 2015, "On selected special economic measures applied to ensure security of the Russian Federation".
