The man protested in Sovetskaya square holding a poster with the inscription: "Hands away from the railwaymen's palace of culture!"

At the same time, a protest was held near building of the former cinema "Rodina". The city administration suggested the ground as an alternative for communists, who initially planned to hold a fully-fledged protest campaign near the diocesan administration.

The protesters held posters with slogans "Governor! We demand that the palace of culture should not be transferred to church!", "The city needs a palace of culture but not a religious institution!", "Dzerzhinsky public garden – for children!", the press service of the Penza regional committee informs.

Previously, protests against transferring the palace of culture to the Penza diocesan administration were held straight next to the building of the cultural institution. One of them was held on August 3, and another one – on the following day before the start of a solemn event dedicated to Railwayman Day.
