Penza, 31 August 2017. PenzaNews. At least 4 billion roubles are planned to be allocated for road repairs in the Penza region in 2018. This was reported by the governor Ivan Belozertsev.

"Allocation of 5.5 billion roubles was built into the budget of the current year. Much work was already done. We keep to the schedule that we set for ourselves and agreed with the federal ministry. We carry out all tasks that are connected to the roads," the head of the region explained during the live broadcast phone-in on Thursday, August 31.

He noted that when repairing the roads, crushed-stone and mastic asphalt concrete was used.

"It is a different quality of works – the roads are more durable, but the materials are more expensive. We agreed to this. The quality of our roads is the same as of those in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other big cities that can afford it. In 2018, we will do our best to make the road fund worthy. I suppose, at least 4 billion roubles will be allocated for road repairs," Ivan Belozertsev said.
