Penza, 4 September 2017. PenzaNews. A four-year-old kangaroo named Venya, who escaped during transportation from Kotlas to Penza within a zoo exchange programme, settled in forests of the Kostroma region, where it has been impossible to catch him for two months.

The animal jumped out of the cage when he was going to be fed, knocked down the driver and fled to an unknown direction.

The issue with catching the kangaroo is that the fast mammal cannot be attracted by food because it has enough grass and leaf in the Kostroma forests.

The animal owner Oleg Zilberg thinks that when it gets colder, the kangaroo, who has already been seen three times in different places, will move closer to people to warm himself in a barn.

An award of 30,000 roubles for capturing Venya was set, the newspaper Kommersant reports.
