On Tuesday, September 5, before handing keys to new buses, the region head personally communicated with school principals of 14 areas and drivers. The latter said that their salary amounted on average from 10,000 to 14,000 roubles.

At the same time, only a few noted that the salary had recently increased.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, it is incorrect that school bus drivers, whose skills on the road have a great influence on pupils' lives, receive a low salary.

"I know that some areas had increased the salary by 4-5 thousand roubles, while the others had not done so yet. Oleg Vasilyevich [Yagov, deputy chairman of the regional government] I charge you together with the Minister of Finance and heads of municipalities to ensure that in September the salary of school bus drivers in all schools of the Penza region is increased," the head of the region said.
