Penza, 7 September 2017. PenzaNews. Ten winners of a regional stage of the contest "Best in profession" aimed at enhancing the prestige of blue-collar jobs in the Penza region received silver Datsun cars.

The vehicles with owners’ surnames and initials instead of registration numbers were parked next to the Yubileynaya square. The celebration in honour of the best workers in their professions was held in the cinema and concert hall "Penza" on Thursday, September 7.

Turning to those present, the head of the region Ivan Belozeertsev noted that the number of contest participants was increasing every year.

"As a governor, I am pleased," he stressed.

Ivan Belozertsev added that having visited a number of industrial enterprises he had seen good working conditions created there with his own eyes.

"Wages and salaries increased in the sphere of industry last year and they keep on increasing this year too," the governor noted.

Ivan Belozertsev expressed his gratitude to contest participants and their mentors for their persistence and will to win, and then presented letters of gratitude to heads of enterprises that assisted in the conduct of the competition.

After that, the governor and the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Valery Lidin awarded the winners – best NC unit operators, railway technicians, seamstresses, glassblowers, plasterers, tile layers, loader operators, tractor drivers, electricians and beekeepers with valuable prizes.

Those who occupied the second place received a television, the third – vouchers for the sanatorium "Nadezhda".

Keys to the new cars for winning the professional skills contest were presented to the seamstress Yulia Klimova, electrician Evgeny Karaulov, mechanization expert Anton Pustovalov, NC unit operator Shamil Zubailov, track serviceman Ilya Voykin, glassblower Alexander Orlov, tile layer and trowel worker Sergei Sidor, front loader operator Vyacheslav Khudyakov, and beekeeper Sergei Kozin.
