Penza, 8 September 2017. PenzaNews. Over 1,400 police officers will ensure law and order as well as public safety of Penza region citizens on the single day of elections, September 10.

As it was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the number of potential voters amounts to over 1 million people, the elections will be conducted at 1,102 voting stations.

The department noted that about 400 police officers would be involved in Penza.

"In addition, over 1,000 representatives of public associations under law-enforcement bodies will also maintain the order in the region," the police said.
