While on holiday Penza mayor takes part in sports campaign together with his granddaughter

Penza, 17 September 2017. PenzaNews. The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev, who is currently on holiday, took part in a sports campaign at the cycling, skiing and roller-skating track in the Akhuny area in Penza on Sunday, September 17.

"During the holiday I have more free time for sport. I am not alone here but with my granddaughter. I accustom her to what I like to do," he said in his communication with journalists.

Victor Kuvaytsev confessed that physical exercises helped him to cope with a lot of work.

"With all intensive work and responsibility one must have an active lifestyle, and always find time for sport and leisure," the mayor noted.

The sports event started from a traditional formation during which Victor Kuvaytsev, who had a golden Ready for Labour and Defence badge, wished success to everyone present.

"I am sure that sport and physical exercises [...] influence every person's health. Health is our future, it is a strong Russia," he specified.

During the event, Victor Kuvaytsev rode a hoverboard and helped his granddaughter to do the same supporting her by the elbow.

Within the event, in the run-up to the European Mobility Week everyone could try to reach a qualifying standard of the physical education and sports complex “Ready for Labour and Defence”. The organizers also held cycling competitions and an open training for fans of Nordic Walking.

In addition, the participants could visit a workshop conducted by the athletes of the Lokomotiv-Penza club – Irina Afremova and Maxim Chernyshov, and a training in athletics held by the master of sports of Russia Alexander Lelyavin, the press service of the mayor's office informs.
