Penza, 19 September 2017. PenzaNews. The first humanitarian warehouse for students was opened at the premises of Penza Management and Industrial Technology College on Tuesday, September 19.

Students of all Penza educational institutions who found themselves in a difficult life situation may turn to the centre for help.

Young people can get hygienic and office supplies, as well as food and clothes at the warehouse. The number of such warehouses is expected to be increased in the future.

At the opening ceremony, Dmitry Volkov, coordinator of the Student Assistance Foundation "StudFond", stressed that the humanitarian warehouse would work on a permanent basis.

"The Student Assistance Foundation 'StudFond' will provide any targeted assistance that is required," he added.

In turn, the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Yana Kuprina noted that the fact of touching upon such social issues in the region was very important.

"It is very good that there are public organizations and not indifferent residents of the Penza region, of our Sura land, who are willing to help each other, because not only children and pensioners need our assistance but also such an active part of the population as students," the deputy said.

The deputy college director on work with social partners Natalya Chistyakova stressed that the opening of such a warehouse at the premises of Penza Management and Industrial Technology College was a great honour for the institution.

"There are many young people who require additional support. They will know that they can turn with their problems to the college, to the centre, which will find resources to help in a given situation," she explained.

Then a red ribbon was cut. The ceremony was attended by Dmitry Volkov, Yana Kuprina, and Natalya Chistyakova.

On the day of the warehouse opening, the first aid was provided to 10 students. The money for articles of daily necessity and products were allocated also by partners including the LLC "Mayak" and the factory "Vanyushkiny sladosti".
