Penza, 25 September 2017. PenzaNews. Frosts of up to -3ºС in the air and on the ground at night and in the morning are expected in some areas of the Penza region on September 26-28. This was reported by the press service of the main regional EMERCOM department.

"Before heat supply to residential areas have started, it is necessary to be particularly careful when using heating and electrical appliances. A dwelling place should not be left unattended if there are working electric appliances there. The same is true for stove heating," the department reminded.

The department stressed that those who decide to have a vacation in the open air should take into account weather conditions and autumn daylight hours.

"Frosts can be dangerous for agricultural plants. For protection, they must be covered with plastic film or nonwoven fabric," the press service added.

The EMERCOM noted that frosts make roads particularly dangerous and may cause disruption in motor transport service as well as increase the number of road accidents.

"Car owners and pedestrians should be more attentive during this unfavourable period. When going somewhere it is necessary to take into account the weather and traffic situation, strictly observe traffic safety regulations," the department summed up.
