Results of work of anti-aircraft missile brigade for 2017 summed up near Penza
Penza, 24 October 2017. PenzaNews. The event dedicated to summing up service results for the current year achieved by the 297th anti-aircraft missile brigade, which had started military duty at the site of chemical weapons destruction "Leonidovka" of the Penza region in the end of 2016, was held on Tuesday, October 24.

Within the event, soldiers who distinguished themselves during tactical exercises at the firing ground Kapustin Yar of the Astrakhan region conducted in August and September as a result of which the brigade got the "excellent" mark received special awards.
Turning to those present the governor Ivan Belozertsev noted that during the exercises the personnel of the anti-aircraft missile brigade showed a high skill in detection, capturing and hitting of aerial targets.
"This was preceded by a great deal of painstaking, difficult daily work," the head of the region said.
He reported that the commanding officer of the 297th anti-aircraft missile brigade, colonel Alexei Nikolaenkov will receive a special award during the ceremony of awarding Penza residents who distinguished themselves the most.
In turn, the commander drew attention to the fact that it was always easy to show a good result but it was much harder to maintain it.
"In 2018 I wish everyone health, much effort in military work and that you always strive to be the best. I congratulate you. You have done a good job," he said.
During the event, the senior lieutenant Alexander Reikin was awarded for distinguishing himself in military service.
