Penza, 27 October 2017. PenzaNews. Potential investors are ready to invest in creation of single parking space in Penza provided that there are at least 2,000 car parking places. This was reported by the vice mayor Andrei Shevchenko.

"It should be noted that creation of new 2,000 parking places is not intended. The investors want to use already existing parking places that are adjacent to roads and to introduce fees for using them," he explained at the 38th session of the City Duma on Friday, October 27.

Andrei Shevchenko specified that the interest in creation of parking areas was expressed not only by investors from Penza but from Moscow as well.

According to him, among the options under which the single parking space could be created is a concession agreement.

"The main purpose of paid parking lots is not money collection but reduction of traffic rules violations and streamlining of parking lots where it is really necessary," the vice mayor said.
