Day of National Unity of Peoples of Penza region celebrated in Philharmonic Hall

Penza, 2 November 2017. PenzaNews. A celebration devoted to the Day of National Unity of the Peoples of the Penza region took place in the organ hall of the philharmonic on Thursday, November 2.

The official part was preceded by an exhibition about culture and traditions of different nations – Russians, Chuvashes, Armenians, Jews, Mordvins, Uzbeks and others – that was held in the hall. Participants of the event greeted each other in their native languages.
Starting the event, the deputy chairman of the Penza region government Vasily Trokhin noted that despite differences all peoples that live in the region have a lot in common.
"The friendship of peoples is our great achievement. Our common goal and task is to cherish and multiply it because this is what we call the unity and glory of Russia. When we are together, we can do everything," he said.
The most active members of national autonomies and communities were awarded in the continuation of the event.
The ceremony was followed by a concert.
