Penza, 6 November 2017. PenzaNews. Road marking was drawn at the Sverdlovsky bridge in Penza, which was designed for motor, trolleybus and pedestrian traffic.

Road signs, which inform drivers of how traffic is supposed to move along the four lanes, were installed at the entrance to the construction, which underwent major repairs.

Thus, from the side of Sverdlova street, only one lane can be used for entering the bridge. The other three lanes will be used by drivers going from Zlobina street.

In addition, an overhead contact system of the trolleybus line was mounted, light supports were installed and sidewalks were equipped.

On Friday, November 3, the Penza mayor Victor Kuvaytsev reported that illumination of the Sverdlovsky bridge during the hours of darkness had been organized.

Access to the facility is still closed.

Under the terms of the municipal contract concluded in September 2016 between the municipal public institution "Penza Capital Repairs Department" and the LLC "Avtodoroga" to the amount of over 412 million roubles, the date of work completion is December 9, 2017.

However, the facility is planned to be put into service before the deadline.

Initially, the expected time of the bridge opening was the first decade of November, then – the middle of the month. The exact date is unknown at the moment.
