Representatives of 14 regions to gather in Penza to discuss conservation of water resources
Penza, 8 November 2017. PenzaNews. A meeting of the basin council of the Upper-Volga basin region, which will feature representatives of 14 regions of Russia, will be held in the Penza region government on Thursday, November 9.

In addition to officials from Penza, the meeting will be attended by delegates from Mordovia, Tatarstan, Mari El, Chuvashia, as well as from Novocheboksarsk, Moscow, Vladimir, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Ulyanovsk, Volgograd, Ivanovo, Vologda, and Nizhny Novgorod.
The meeting will be held under the guidance of the head of the Upper-Volga Basin Water Department under the Federal Water Resources Agency Alexander Barinov.
During the event, it is planned to discuss issues of sustainable use and conservation of natural resources.
The deputy minister of forestry, wildlife and nature management of the Penza region Alexander Ivanov will give a report on the topic "Implementation of delegated responsibilities in the field of water relations", the press service of the regional government informs.
