Penza, 15 November 2017. PenzaNews. Workers of the municipal unitary enterprise “Zelenoe Khozyaystvo Goroda Penzy” started to assemble an artificial New Year tree in Lenina square – in front of the building of the regional government.

At the moment they are busy with installation of the lower level of the structure.

In the future, it is planned that the main New Year tree of Penza will be supplemented with a thematic winter area with an ice rink, Father Frost's house, as well as wooden structures used for holding fairs.

Father Frost post is expected to work from 15 to 23 December and everyone will have a chance to drop a letter of wish in a special box.

In addition, it is planned to set special time to take photographs with the fairy tale character.

As it was reported before, a new artificial fir tree had been bought by Penza in 2016. The previous one had been used for 11 years and wore out.

The height of the structure that beautified Fontannaya square last year was 25 metres, the diameter of the foundation – 5 metres. In the last season, it was decorated with light-emitting-diode snowflakes, golden glossy and matt balls as well as with light equipment.

In 2016, works on installation of the main New Year tree in Penza started in late November.
