Penza, 4 December 2017. PenzaNews. Members of the regional department of the Search Movement of Russia conducted the campaign "Soldier's fate" for Penza residents.

As it was reported by the chairman of the regional department of the Search Movement of Russia Larisa Kazakova, on the Unknown Soldier Day, December 3, the point of reception of applications to clarify information about soldiers who had died or been missing during the Great Patriotic War worked for four hours.

"Penza residents filled in application forms, where they stated all information they knew about the soldiers. Some requests were processed immediately using electronic databases of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and provided to the relatives. Many Penza residents received consulting assistance in working with search engines as well as in writing requests to state archives of the Russian Federation," she explained.

Larisa Kazakova specified that 64 requests had been submitted during the campaign.

"The information that the search teams will obtain, will not only be handed over to the relatives, but will also become the basis for updated books of memory.
