Penza, 27 December 2017. PenzaNews. The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev awarded teachers and representatives of the talented youth who had showed good results in 2017 in education, sport, creative and other activities.

"Presenting the municipal award to the best teachers and talented school pupils has become a remarkable tradition of our city. We have many talented children, which is proved by success of Penza pupils at contests, conferences, and competitions of different levels. In 2017, there are nine pupils of Penza general educational institutions out of ten winners of the final stage of the All-Russian contest for school pupils, which makes up 90% of the participants of the Penza region team," the mayor said.

He expressed gratitude to teachers for their professionalism, patience and care.

"In 2017, 360,000 roubles were allocated from the budget of the city of Penza for support of the talented youth and best teachers. In 2018 the Penza administration will continue to support talented teachers and school pupils financially," Victor Kuvaytsev added.

The mayor presented the school pupils with letters of appreciation as well as laureate diploma and prizes in the amount of 5,000 roubles.

As it was reported by the press service of the Penza administration, in 2017 the prize was awarded to 12 school pupils. Ten of them are winners of the final stage of the All-Russian contest and two of them are winners of sports competitions.

Fifteen teachers received letters of appreciation from the head of the city administration. They were awarded with diplomas and certificates for a bonus of 20,000 roubles.
