Six minor Penza residents diagnosed with HIV infection

Penza, 27 December 2017. PenzaNews. Six minor residents of the Penza region – four children under the age of 14 and two teenagers – were diagnosed with the HIV infection from January to November 2017. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being (Rospotrebnadzor).

According to the department, altogether 396 new cases of the HIV infection were registered among region's permanent population during 11 months.

The incidence rate amounted to 29.5 per 100,000 population, which is 10.1% higher than that of the similar period of 2016.
