Penza, 4 January 2018. PenzaNews. School pupils and their parents will be able to exchange conifer trees for sweets within the campaign "Farewell to the tree", which will be held after the holidays in schools of Penza.

"Following the example of previous years, after the end of New Year and Christmas celebrations it is necessary to organize events in schools, where residents will receive a sweet gift as a reward for the brought Christmas tree," the head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev said at the meeting on city improvement on Thursday, January 4.

He explained that the trees can be transferred for the needs of the Penza zoo.

"Thanks to the centralized removal, piles of ruined trees will not accumulate near trash containers," the mayor's office press service quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
