Penza, 9 January 2018. PenzaNews. Traffic police officers registered 170 drunk drivers in the roads of the Penza region from December 30 to January 8. This was reported by the propaganda department of the traffic police of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

“24 of these drivers were arrested thanks to the information received from citizens,” the department specified.

The propaganda department reminded that administrative responsibility threatens for driving in a state of intoxication or transferring control of the vehicle to a drunk person.

Thus, driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication leads to an administrative penalty equal to 30,000 roubles and deprival of the right to drive for the period of up to 2 years.

As it was reported before, a year ago about the same number of drivers in the Penza region neglected traffic rules and sat behind the wheel drunk during the new year holidays. At that time, protocols were drawn up against 168 people.
