Penza, 14 January 2018. PenzaNews. Six regional newspapers of the Penza region will celebrate the 100th anniversary in 2018.

According to the regional Department of Information Policy and Mass Media, the series of celebrations will be opened by the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of The Kuznetsk Worker. They are scheduled for March 2.

The newspaper is distributed both in the town of Kuznetsk and the Kuznetsk area and it has the largest number of copies among area editions – 9,000 copies. In addition, The Kuznetsk Worker is the only newspaper of the Penza region that is published twice a week.

In April, three newspapers at once will celebrate their 100th anniversary. The Vadinsk Vesti celebrates the anniversary on April 2, The Selskaya Nov – on April 5, and The Serdobsk News published in the Belinsky area – on April 30.

At the end of the year, the important event will be celebrated by two more editions.

On November 6, it will be 100 years since the first issue of The Narovchatskie Novosti was published, on December 15 – of the spassky Vestnik newspaper.
