Penza, 19 January 2018. PenzaNews. Krasnodar, Ufa, Kaliningrad and Penza became the most popular destinations for domestic flights as a result of work of the Domodedovo airport in 2017.

As it was reported by the press service of the metropolitan airport, the total passenger traffic within the country amounted to 17 million people, the increase makes up 2.3%.

The leader in the growth of operational indicators is the segment of international transportation.

In 2017, passenger traffic in foreign destinations equalled to 13.7 million people, which is 15% higher than the result of 2016. The demand for flights to Dubai, Barcelona, Vienna, Batumi and Doha increased the most dynamically.

In total, 30.7 million travellers chose the Domodedovo airport last year. The increase of passenger traffic reached 7.6%. The airport served about 235,000 flights, which is 4.2% more than a year before.
