"As a governor I insist that the number of psychologists who can talk to children, reveal what worries them, work with their condition professionally should be increased in schools. We allocate additional funds for such services. Of course maximum involvement of children is required – they must be engaged in work of different clubs, after-school activities, additional classed and electives. Thus, a school pupil is always under control, in contact with teachers and peers," the head of the region noted.
According to him, the cause of the accidents lies in the lack of systematic interaction of the pedagogical community, psychologists and parents.
"To protect children it is necessary to improve the effectiveness of work at a local level, even though the external factor is always present and must be taken into account. However, the closer cooperation between a school and a child with their family is, the more the school knows about children’s internal state and relationships in the family, the more chances it has to prevent an issue," the press service of the Penza region government quotes Ivan Belozertsev.
