The corresponding initiative was voiced by the deputy chairman of the youth parliament Ulyana Bezrukova at the meeting that was held on Friday, January 26, in the afternoon.
"We consider it necessary to establish a regional support programme for volunteers and volunteerism in general," she said.
Ulyana Bezrukova drew attention of those present to the issue of receiving volunteer record book in Penza.
According to her, local activists repeatedly complained that it is impossible to do so at the House of Youth, at the premises of which the corresponding work had been organized.
"We believe that it is necessary to define the rights and duties of volunteers. It would be great to list working conditions of volunteers as well," the member of the youth parliament added.
As an example she mentioned the situation when during major summer sports events all volunteers have to spend hours in the scorching sun. However, it has not been stated anywhere how long they may work without detriment of their health.
"The third thing to be mentioned is measures of motivation and encouragement for volunteers of the region. It is very important for a person to see that their goodness also turns into good," Ulyana Bezrukova noted.
In addition she suggested creating a single database of volunteers and defining a body responsible for all aspects of the volunteer movement.
