Penza, 4 February 2018. PenzaNews. The head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev congratulated residents on the 79th anniversary of the Penza region, which was celebrated on Sunday, February 4.

He noted that over 80 years the region had developed a great industrial, production, innovative and scientific-educational potential.

"Nowadays it is famous for its numerous shrines, historical landmarks, museums, and natural reserves. Great names of Russian history are connected with our region – there are well-known names starting with almost any letter of the alphabet, which have something to do with the Sura land. The Penza region is also a large multinational family.

Representatives of more than 25 nationalities live here in peace and friendship, mutual understanding and harmony," the city mayor added.

Victor Kuvaytsev specified that year by year the Penza region is becoming more comfortable, successful and recognizable, more progressive and attractive in many respects thanks to work of the governor Ivan Belozertsev, "his hard work and dedication, wise and principled approach to solving problems".

"Large-scale projects in industrial, economic, cultural and social spheres are implemented, agricultural sector is rapidly developed. All these indicators allow us to be proud of our small motherland, inspire confidence in the future. Dear fellow citizens, on the day of such an important event I sincerely wish you good health, family happiness, prosperity, optimism and success in all undertakings," the press service of the city administration quotes Victor Kuvaytsev.
