Mass inspections of rules of transportation of children will be held on the roads of the Penza region on February 5-8 with the aim of preventing traffic accidents involving minors. This was reported by the propaganda department of the traffic police of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"In January 2018, 14 traffic accidents involving children and teenagers under the age of 16 were registered in the territory of the Penza region. 14 minors were injured," the department explained.

The State Traffic Police noted that minors had been injured in 10 of the 14 accidents, or in more than 70% of cases.

"Moreover, violation of children transportation rules were registered in two cases – children under the age of 12 were transported without restraint devices or seat belts were not fastened," the propaganda department noted.
