Protests against suppression of problems held near broadcasting company Nash Dom in Penza
Penza, 7 February 2018. PenzaNews. Representatives of opposition held one-person protests near the building of the broadcasting company Nash Dom in Mira street in Penza within the campaign against suppression of problems and misinterpretation of facts by the mass media that work in the territory of the Penza region.
The participants of the campaign who had recently conducted protests near the building of the broadcasting company Express were holding the same banners reading "We are against censorship and lies on TV!", "Stop distorting facts!", "It is as clear as a day, why are you afraid of telling the truth!", "If you constantly lie – your nose will grow!", "Stop suppressing problems!", and "Carry out sanitary works on the channel!"
Immediately after the press secretary of the regional Left Front department Sergei Padalkin took up a place on the sidewalk near "the house with plates", sanitary works started in the territory adjacent to the building. Several people with shovels and a tractor were involved.
The vice mayor of Penza Vladimir Popkov, who had previously reported a refusal to endorse a full-fledged protest near the broadcasting company Nash Dom, warned the activists that it had been planned to carry out cleaning of the street at the time when the protests were to be held.
One of the opposition activists – the representative of the National-Patriotic Forces of Russia Alexander Frolenkov – was not taken aback, he picked up a shovel to help the workers of the TV channel.
The one-person protests lasted about 40 minutes altogether.
As Sergei Padalkin told PenzaNews, over that time none of the journalists of the broadcasting company expressed interest to what was going on under the windows: there was only a cameraman nearby who admitted that he was shooting for the company's governing body.
"By the way, the governing body represented by Tatyana Proshina, general director of the broadcasting company Nash Dom, appeared near the building in just a few minutes before the first one-person protest. Tatyana Akhmanova did not wait for banners to get unrolled and disappeared into the building.
