Penza, 23 February 2018. PenzaNews. 110 million roubles are planned to be invested in the improvement of passenger platforms and small railway stations of the Penza region in 2018 within the framework of infrastructure development at Kuybyshev railroad. "When carrying out repairs, the main aim of the works will be creation of a comfortable environment for all groups of passengers including those with disabilities," the agency's interlocutor noted.

She specified that this year reconstruction of the railway station in Bashmakovo will begin.

"In the course of the works, the facade will be renovated, the windows will be changed, the waiting room and toilets will be repaired. For the convenience of passengers it is planned to move the ticket offices to a different place," Svetlana Zatuliveter explained.

According to her, the programme of the implementation of the mid-term project for the period from 2018 to 2020 includes over 50 facilities of the railway infrastructure of the Penza region such as the stations Arbekovo, Penza 4, Aseevskaya, and Grabovo.
