"Thanks to the implementation of the programme Safe Roads of High Quality, the winter finished with smaller losses. Last year the total area of destruction was about 86,000 square metres of asphalt coating, whereas this year it will approximately amount to 35,000 square metres," he explained.

The deputy head of the city administration added that currently the municipal unitary enterprise Penzadormost eliminates defects that formed during the winter.

According to Yuri Ilyin, pothole repairs are planned to be conducted even on the roads that are included in the priority project for 2018 – in this case they will be carried out by contractors that won bids.

The vice mayor also noted that in addition to the kocher bought last year, the lease of another asphalt thermal container is considered.

"In the near future we plan to launch an asphalt concrete factory," the press service of the city administration quotes Yury Ilyin.
