"Smoke detectors in the small shopping hall of the right wing on the second floor and those in the personal service room on the first floor are out of order. The fire warning and evacuation control system did not work in the hall on the first floor near the central staircase when fire detectors went off. It is impossible to open the doors of emergency exits without unlocking them with a key from the inside. There is no as-built documentation for the systems of fire safety in the facility," the interlocutor explained.
She noted that numerous violations of fire safety requirements indicate the impossibility of the use of the shopping centre as they pose an immediate threat to people's lives and health.
"In this regard, on April 6 the prosecutor of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Penza [Alexei Anoshin] prepared and sent to court a statement of claim to forbid the use of the shopping centre building until violations of fire safety requirements are eliminated," Svetlana Artamonova told PenzaNews.
