EMERCOM: Flagrant violations were revealed in 20 facilities of mass stay of people in Penza

Flagrant violations of fire safety requirements that pose a threat to life were revealed in 20 facilities of mass stay of people in Penza as a result of inspection conducted after the incident in Kemerovo. This was reported by head of the Penza region main department of EMERCOM Sergei Kozlov.

"The violations were registered in the shopping centres Rembyttekhnika, Suvorovsky, Passazh, TSUM, Vysshaya Liga, Gostiny Dvor, Okruzhnoi, Moi, Triumph, Uritsky, Olimp, Prospekt, Berlin, Kosmos-City, Onezhsky, Sever, KaGaU, iMall, the cinema Sovremennik, and the market Shuist," he specified during the action meeting in the regional government on Monday, April 9.
According to Sergei Kozlov, other 34 facilities where flagrant violations were committed are located in areas of the region.
"10 facilities are located in Kuznetsk. These are the shopping centres Gulliver, Galina, Soyuz-Passazh, Passazh, Kuznetsky, Olimp, Mirazh, Panorama and Ekvator as well as the indoor market. Three facilities are in Kamenka: the shopping centres Orbita and Karavan-Service as well as the swimming pool Olimp. The working village of Mokshan had two such facilities: the shopping centre Tsentralny and the trading house Tsentralny. Bekovo had three such facilities: the shopping centre Moi Dom, the shops Clothing and Footwear as well as Uroven," the head of the department said.
He noted that flagrant violations had also been revealed in the Bessonovsky shopping centre Pokrov, in the Pachelmsky shopping centres Berezka and Moya Semya, in the Bashmakovsky Mayak and the Zametchinsky Aliance.
Sergei Kozlov reported that workers of the EMERCOM and prosecutor's office revealed over 970 violations in the 133 inspected facilities. Violations were not registered only in the swimming pool Dolphin and the kindergarten Rodnichok in Mokshan.
"The main violations of fire safety requirements that were revealed during the inspection included malfunction or absence of fire automatic systems such as fire alarm, the systems of notification, evacuation control, smoke protection, automatic fire suppression. The staff were not taught how to act in case of fire, an internal fire water supply system was out of order, primary fire extinguishing means were missing," he specified.
