"We should continue the work on forest cleaning. [...] These are Leningradskaya and Popova streets. [...] Fallen trees should be removed. New trees should be planted so that our park area develops," the region head said to journalist after his visit to the public garden on Monday, April 9.

He said that the works carried out in the Olimpiyskaya alley two years ago were only the first step.

"We could place interesting art objects here to draw attention of children and adults. [...] Our city, architectural community and our youth have ideas. Most importantly is not to hurry and at the same time not to delay the process," Ivan Belozertsev noted.

The governor added that 8.5 hectares are still to be cleared up to Leningradskaya street.

"According to the project, Popova street will be expanded and parking area will be equipped along the forest. [...] Money for Popova street - for cleaning and development - will be built in the project Safe Roads of High Quality," he specified.

Ivan Belozertsev noted that the expansion of Lervontova street with arrangement of parking spaces and a new parking lot near the pedagogical institute solved the problem only partially, therefore the work in this direction will be continued.
