Serdobsk, 11 April 2018. PenzaNews. A flood situation worsened in Serdobsk of the Penza region.

According to information of the town administration, the water level in the Serdoba river reached 6m 73cm.
Twenty-four-hour duty of rescuers on boats was organized. People are evacuated from flooded houses to places of temporary stay. The territory left by residents is protected by the police.
As it was reported by head of information and public relations division of the main EMERCOM department in the Penza region Anna Shupilova, 41 residential buildings and 381 gardens were flooded in Serdobsk and the village of Prigorodny.
"11 residents including five children were evacuated," the interlocutor specified.
She noted that the people are provided with all necessary help including transfer of cattle from flooded areas.
"Altogether 265 houses and 688 gardens were flooded in the Nizhnelomovsky and Serdobsky areas," Anna Shupilova explained reminding that a state of emergency was introduced in these municipalities as well as in the Issinsky area, where a part of a road was washed away.
