Penza, 20 April 2018. PenzaNews. Workers of the Penza zoo invited residents and guests of the city to admire the peacocks placed in summer enclosures and to listen to their singing.

“The bird's voice is very loud and not really melodic. Rich people even used this feature and kept these beautiful creatures as guard birds: peacocks are easily frightened and at the slightest danger they make a terrible noise,” the website of the Penza zoo notes.

In support of these words, a short video was posted showing a peacock spread its tail and making meow-like sounds.
