Penza, 21 April 2018. PenzaNews. Penza mayor Victor Kuvaytsev called local self-government development one of the most important state tasks because residents' welfare as well as comfort in each house and the country as a whole depend on it.

"It goes without saying that primary responsibility for positive change in Penza lies on shoulders of local self-government as it is made up of not only the employees of a municipality but also of those who are deeply concerned about the fate of their native city. Each of us understands that without public initiatives, personal involvement and trust of Penza citizens, it would be more difficult to solve important life issues," he noted congratulating residents on the Day of Local Self-Government on Saturday, April 21.

Victor Kuvaytsev thanked them and all active citizens for their civic opinion and readiness to work and create for the sake of Penza development.

"I would like to express special gratitude to regional authorities headed by Governor Ivan Alexandrovich Belozertsev, who provides the regional centre with comprehensive support, encourages initiatives, supports large-scale projects," the head of the city administration added.

The mayor wished municipal officials good health, family well-being, happiness, optimism and success in work.
