Serdobsk, 30 April 2018. PenzaNews. About 80 graves of soldiers who died in evacuation hospital No. 4401 during the Great Patriotic War are planned to be improved in the village of Kurakino of the Serdobsk area of the Penza region.

Local residents discovered them several years ago at a cemetery in some distance from a common grave and partially cleaned them themselves.

As the chairman of the youth parliament under the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, Andrei Sushkov, told PenzaNews, a visit to the place is planned on May 11. The chairman of the regional branch for the Russian Civil Organization for Veterans of War, Sergei Tsigvintsev, will take part in it.

“In the near future the names of those buried there will be announced,” he said.

Andrei Sushkov explained that it was planned to carry out cleaning at the burial place – to cut shoots, to improve the graves as well as to install a small obelisk or a cross in the future.
