Penza, 13 June 2018. PenzaNews. Penza has changed for the better in recent years. Such an opinion was expressed by People's Artist of Russia Mikhail Turetsky before the beginning of the Holiday of Song held in Yubileynaya square on Day of Russia and the 355th anniversary of the city, June 12, that featured the art band Turetsky Choir.

"It is not the first time we come to Penza and I see 'the child growing' – the city is changing, roads and facades are being improved, there is much greenery around and many things to see. Especially over the last couple of years, Penza has been soaring up in the sky, and my soul is rejoicing. Thank Penza residents for the work. For their love to the city, for staying here instead of moving to Moscow, for this is patriotism in action," he said to journalists.
The showman noted that it was an honour for him that governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev had come to the concert.
"We had a long discussion, we wanted such a holiday to take place, we found a venue and an occasion – this square, June 12 – Russia Day, City Day," the press service of the Penza region government quotes Mikhail Turetsky.
