During an official ceremony director of the regional rehabilitation centre Marina Tantsireva expressed confidence that the festival will be held next year.

"I want to thank you for the faith in life, the best and happiest things you show us being a role model. I admire your willpower," she said.

In turn, chairman of the regional organization All-Russian Society of Persons with Disabilities Valery Timoshkin noted that the event aimed to draw attention to problems of people with disabilities.

"Many of them live in five-story buildings without elevators. The All-Russian Society of Persons with Disabilities proposes to adopt a programme for the resettlement of such people with disabilities on the ground floor. We have nine-storey buildings with elevators but there are 7-8 steps from the front door to the elevator that cannot be surmounted. We suggest that lifts should be installed," he said.

Valery Timoshkin also mentioned insufficient provision of social taxis, unsuitable public transport, and difficulties with employment among the problems the disabled face.

Workers of the rehabilitation centre were awarded with certificates of honour and letters of gratitude from the regional Ministry of Labour.

Creative teams of the city and individual performers, in particular, Dmitry Bukin, performed for those present, demonstrations in roller sport and BMX racing were held.

After the official part and the concert, there was a procession organized that made its way along the Olympic alley.
