Data on resettlement of compatriots over five months of 2018 announced

Penza, 23 June 2018. PenzaNews. Consultant of the Department of Labour, Demography and Labour Migration of the Penza region Olga Tuzova presented the results of the programme on resettlement of compatriots to the region over the first five months of the year 2018 at the meeting of the interdepartmental committee under the regional government.

According to official data, from January to May, 227 citizens from nine countries – Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and Germany – participated in the regional sub-programme "Assistance to voluntary resettlement to the Penza region of the compatriots living abroad for 2014-2020".
This year, 547 people received financial support totalling over 5 million roubles.
89% makes up funds of the federal budget, 11% – funds of the regional one.
The largest number of compatriots chose the Bessonovsky area — 40 people, the Kamensky area — 34, and the Penza area — 25. This makes up 18%, 15% and 11% of the total number.
The average age of participants of the sub-programme in 2018 is 31.3 years.
