Penza, 27 June 2018. PenzaNews. 182 kg of fresh apples from Poland were destroyed mechanically at a refuse dump for domestic solid waste near the village Chemodanovka of the Penza region.

As it was said by the public relations officer of the Rosselkhoznadzor department in Mordovia and the Penza region, Larisa Yakushkina, the fact of illegal trade in quarantined products was detected in the market OptTorg Severny on Tuesday, June 26.

"The owner of the products failed to provide documents that would prove the legality of fruit import to the Russian Federation, its legal availability as well as documents proving phytosanitary security of the product," the interlocutor explained.

She clarified that an administrative case had been initiated against the person engaged in trade of apples without required documents.
